Kirsten Kakarigi wants to live in a world where everyone has a party thrown for them at least once, peonies stay in season year-round, manicures don't chip, and chucks are an acceptable form of footwear in any situation.
As a sought-after Event Designer, Kirsten's work has been showcased on such blogs as Style Me Pretty, 100 Layer Cake, Green Wedding Shoes, Carats & Cake, Brooklyn Bride, and more. She has also been featured in print in Real Weddings and Sactown Magazines.
When she's not busy designing events (and her own wedding), you can find her playing with her Chihuahua pup, Sammy, traveling the globe, spending time with her favorite chef (and fiance), Jeremy, working on interior design projects, and continuing her never-ending search for the world’s best cheeseburger.

Event Design involves the planning of all of the creative and decorative aspects of an event. Our full event design services include working with you on your colors and theme, floor plan, rental choices, and overall event aesthetic. We consult with you on your printed materials and coordinate with all your vendors on the style of your event.

KMK Design offers three different wedding planning packages; Full Service Planning & Design, Partial Planning, and Day of Coordination. We can also create a custom planning package based upon your individual needs.

KMK Design was founded in 2012 by Kirsten Kakarigi. She had previously been in the Interior Design field and fell into event planning by chance. She has since fallen in love with wedding and event planning and has happily embraced her title as an Event Planner and Designer. 

How long have you been in business? 

Our studio is located in the suburbs of Sacramento in charming Old Town Roseville. Please feel free to stop by and say hi! You can find us at:

where are you located?

Locally, we service the greater Sacramento, Napa Valley, and Lake Tahoe areas, and often travel to the San Francisco Bay Area and California coast. We also have our passports ready and are available for destination events all over the globe. We are currently working on destination events in Croatia, Mexico, Hawaii, and Idaho.  

what locations do you service?

First off, let's meet! We would love to have you into our studio so you can see our work, chat about the vision you have for your event, and your overall planning needs. From there, we will submit to you a proposal for our services. When you choose to move forward with our services, we will draft a contract that is to be signed by both parties and request a 50% retainer fee to secure your event date on our calendar. Then we're ready to dive in!
